MindMap Gallery Medicare part D 2019
Medicare Part D is a Medicare prescription drug plan that helps people pay for their prescription drugs. The plans are offered by private insurance companies and are regulated by the federal government. Medicare Part D has four phases: the initial deductible, initial coverage, coverage gap/donut hole, and catastrophic coverage. In the initial deductible phase, you pay for all of your prescription drug costs until you meet your deductible. In the initial coverage phase, you pay a certain percentage of your prescription drug costs and the insurance company pays the rest. In the coverage gap/donut hole phase, you pay a higher percentage of your prescription drug costs until you reach the catastrophic coverage phase. In the catastrophic coverage phase, you pay a small percentage of your prescription drug costs and the insurance company pays the rest.
