"And Then There Were None" is a 1939 murder mystery novel created by Agatha Christie, the world's most famous mystery writer. The plot centers on a group of strangers who are all invited to a remote island off the coast of England. Someone they know wrote eight people a letter requesting that they come to Indian Island for various reasons. Eight people arrive on a small, isolated island off the Devon coast, each having received an unexpected personal invitation. They are met by the butler and cook-housekeeper, Thomas and Ethel Rogers, who explain that their hosts, Ulick Norman Owen and Una Nancy Owen, have not yet arrived, they have left instructions. Once his guests have arrived, host accuses each person of murder. Some of them are looking forward to a nice holiday, while others are hoping to find new employment. However, they are all incorrect about the nightmare that awaits them. The gang is assembled in the drawing room shortly after arrival when lights go out and a recorded voice accuses each of them of a past murder that has never been investigated. With no route off the island and no clear suspects to examine, the gang of strangers must band together to unravel the mystery of who is murdering them while avoiding being killed.
