Mind Map Of Deep Work

This is a study notes mind map of Deep Work by Cal Newport. A mind map is a two-dimensional graphic diagram that allows you to arrange your notes. Mind maps, unlike linear notes, are frequently drawn on a blank piece of paper or canvas in landscape mode rather than portrait mode. Instead of starting at the top left and working your way down to the bottom right, you begin your mind map by putting the subject or headline in the middle of the page, then adding your notes as branches radiating outwards from the center. While this new approach to taking notes may appear strange at first, it has a number of advantages, especially if you want to remember things: At a glance, a mind map depicts links, hierarchies, and connections between distinct pieces of data. Because they collect all of your notes relating to a topic on one single page, mind maps provide an excellent overview of a topic. Mind maps encourage you to take fewer notes that are more significant. Instead of mechanically typing the information, your brain actively processes it as you make the map. Images, iconography, colors, and a two-dimensional structure are used as mental triggers in mind maps to help you remember their contents. You can always go back to your notes and add more information. Using a mind map to take notes is enjoyable and seems more like doodling than serious work!
