Sea voyage begins from Plymouth, England

Pleasent journey at starting and calm weather

Sails down the west coast of Africa to Cape Town

Voyagers reaches 3500 kilometres east of Cape Town

Weather was atrocious, but celebrated Christmas

New year's day saw no improvement in the weather

Gigantic waves in the morning

Ship rises to the top of each wave

The screaming of the wind and spray was painful to ears

Went through the life-raft drill, attached lifelines, donned oilskins and life jackets

The first indication of impending disaster comes at 6:00pm with an omnious silence

A giant wave like no other hits the deck of the ship

Wavewalker started sinking as the decks were smashed

Larry and Herb were pumping like madmen

Sue had a big bump on her head

Electric pump short-circuited and water level rose threateningly.

No communications

Pumps had water level sufficiently under control

Tremendous leaking as boat's main rib frames were smashed

survived for 15 hours since the wave hit

Water level almost dipped after 36 hours of continuous pumping

Weather started became worse

Wind was back to 40 knots and waves were getting higher

Situations again started worsening

Jonathan says " We aren't afraid to die if we can all be together" which gave narrator a hope to fight against the sea.

Wind started easing

Narrator tried to calculate their position and headed the boat to Ile Amsterdam

Sue made caricatures and showed it to her parents and they laughed for a while

Narrator asked Larry to steer a course of 85 degrees

At 6 pm they reached Ile Amsterdam

Narrator's thought was full of appreciation for the undettered courage that everyone showed.
